Shakespeare Republic #AllTheWebsAStage wins three more awards!

It has been a rollercoaster ride for the latest season of Shakespeare Republic over the past six months. The new season, filmed entirely in lockdown in 2020 using a combination of internet technologies, smartphones and the innovation of our director, cast and crew has been having an amazing run on the international film festival circuit since November 2020, most recently winning three awards at the Unrestricted View Film Festival in the UK – Best Web Series (Special Mention), Best Actor in a Web Series (Mark McMinn) and Best Actress in a Web Series (Sally McLean). The season also received a Best Actor in a Web Series nomination for Frank Collison and a Best Director of a Web Series nomination for Sally McLean!

Watch an interview with Republic Creator/Director, Sally McLean and UVFF Director James Wren below to get more insights into how this new season was created:

This latest cache of awards bring our tally to 13 awards for the new season to date, with over 20 nominations. We are so grateful to all the festivals and industry award juries for the love shown to the season to date and so thrilled for and proud of our ensemble and crew. This latest season was a mammoth task to complete and we are so delighted to see it being embraced by the industry so generously.
