Shakespeare Republic Officially Selected for the International Online Web Fest

IOWF-Laurel

In much happier 2016 news, Shakespeare Republic started this New Year with the notification that we had been accepted into the Digitalmation Awards, which brought us up to five festivals in which we have been officially selected including: The Garden City International Film Festival, ROMA CinemaDoc, Near Nazareth Film Festival, Underground Film Fest.

And the official selections have continued!  We are delighted to announce that we have been officially selected for the International Online Web Fest!  With a jury of talented and accomplished filmmakers assessing each entry from the UK and Europe, we are truly thrilled to have Season One accepted in this year’s line-up.

We are also continuing to work on our plans for 2016, which involve an expanded cast, scope and series for Season Two.  More details as they become available, but if you want to keep in the loop before the general public, make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter, where we will be announcing all our news first.

Oh, and don’t forget to bookmark our new site #LoveTheBard – www.lovethebard.com – where this year’s activities for the Republic will be showcased and highlighted (along with our usual site for the webseries, www.shakespearerepublic.com).

There are a couple more exciting announcements from the film festival circuit regarding Season One, that are embargoed until official announcements from the festivals themselves, so we have to hold off sharing any more of our good news from that front until given the green light, but let’s just say that 2016 is shaping up to be a busy year for the Republic team in many areas and we couldn’t be happier or more grateful that our work is striking a cord with our peers and the general public in such a wonderful way.

If you are following our Facebook Page and Twitter account, or signed up to our newsletter, you’ll be up on all the latest, but just in case you’re not … head over there now and hit the appropriate buttons.

May your days become brighter as this year unfolds, with much love and thanks to everyone.

‘Till next time we speak … see you anon,

The Republic Team
