Welcome to September! It’s been a busy week in the Incognita office with all the Shakespeare Republic festival official selections and nominations, as well as prepping to shoot the teaser for our next project ‘Till The Boys Come Home. More on that project in another update, but for now, we are delighted to announce (in case you missed it on our social media feeds) that Shakespeare Republic: #LoveTheBard has been nominated at the upcoming Minnesota WebFest for Best Drama AND Best Performance (for Christopher Kirby)!
We are thrilled at these nominations and congratulate everyone in the team!
Monday this week, Republic creator/director, Sally McLean headed into Triple R FM to be interviewed by Adam Branson on Room With A View about Shakespeare Republic, our recent win at the 60th CINE Golden Eagle Awards and what the future holds for the project. You can hear the interview below:
And we’re still crowdfunding! Only 10 days to go on the campaign, so any help you can give, be it donating or just spreading the word around your networks, would be amazing! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards that aforementioned filming for the ‘Till The Boys Come Home teaser … as it’s set in WW2, we need all the funds we can raise!! Check out our campaign page here: https://australianculturalfund.org.au/projects/shakespeare-republic-the-next-stage/. We’re at 75% of our total!! So close to 100%!!
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us so far! We love our Republic family!!
‘Till next we speak … see you anon!
